The land records available on the Uttar Pradesh Bhulekh website include the khata (land) details, Khasra number (land parcel identification numbers), and Khatauni (list of holdings of an individual or family in that village) as per the digital database of the state government. Thus, UP Bhulekh means the land records in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The word ‘Bhulekh’ is made up of two words: ‘Bhu’ means land and ‘Lekh’ means the account (in Hindi). UP Bhulekh portal has been designed to help you avoid the hassle of visiting a Tehsildar or Patwari anytime he/she needs to verify the land records in Uttar Pradesh. The government involved the state NIC for this digitization process which made land ownership-related details, including ‘Khatauni’ (Records of Rights), available to all transparently.
